Life has a way of teaching us valuable lessons through painful experiences. The story of entrepreneur Phan Hieu, shared on the “Powerful Women” program, is bound to bring tears to your eyes. But beyond the tears, you’ll find invaluable values that deserve preservation.
The Journey of Entrepreneur Phan Hieu
Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of See The World Travel, Phan Hieu is not just a businesswoman but also a powerful representation of Vietnam. With her wisdom and experience, she impressively introduced Vietnamese culture and history to the international stage.
Phan Hieu’s journey to success has been filled with achievements. In 2018, she became the 1st runner-up of Miss Vietnam Global 2018 and Evening Beauty. Her outstanding contributions to the field of business and travel earned her the prestigious title of “CEO of Asia-Pacific famous brand and commercial star” by the Vietnam and Cambodia Trade Promotion Forum.
The Wisdom of Modern Women
During the show, MC Mai Thu Huyen touched on the perspective that modern women should embrace: “People say four things women shouldn’t quit are learning, money, beauty, and filial piety. The three indispensable things are money, will, and temperament. The two people who must not wait are the one who leaves me and the one who betrays me. You always have to love.”
A Mother’s Unconditional Love
For a moment, let’s redirect our focus from our own happiness and success to acknowledge that our parents won’t wait forever. Phan Hieu spoke profoundly about her mother, who she loved dearly throughout her life. Her mother’s unwavering support and motivation provided Phan Hieu with the strength and determination to navigate the challenging waters of entrepreneurship. Sadly, Phan Hieu discovered that her mother had passed away while she was on a business trip abroad.
Balancing Life and Career
The pursuit of a successful career often consumes us, leaving us little time to appreciate the precious happiness we’ve always told ourselves to cherish and wait for. Phan Hieu experienced this firsthand when her mother unexpectedly passed away just seven days after she established her company. The delicate balance between life and work, family and career, is an ongoing challenge, especially for women.
Building a Dream
Returning to her current role, Phan Hieu shared her entrepreneurial journey: “My business has been around for 5 years. The path to starting a business was very difficult. After graduating from school, I worked as a tour guide and in the sales department of various travel agencies to gain experience and management skills. In 2016, I decided to establish See The World Travel.”
Embracing Challenges
Success is not achieved without overcoming obstacles and challenges. Phan Hieu didn’t give up on her passion for travel and tourism, even when faced with difficulties. With just 50 million dong of capital and the determination to succeed, she borrowed more funds to establish her business at a time when many of her colleagues were succumbing to the pressures of the industry.
Phan Hieu’s travel agency faced numerous hurdles, but with resilience and constant learning, it gradually found stability. Phan Hieu herself attended advanced courses abroad, equipping her with essential skills for the management and development of her enterprise. Additionally, she expanded her market to France, leveraging the potential of tourist exchange between Vietnam and Europe.
A True Inspiration
Phan Hieu’s journey is nothing short of admirable. Her bravery and resilience have made her a beautiful portrait of the modern Vietnamese woman. She continues to rise, constantly striving for development and success.
