Not only creating shade, the old trees of the old factory are also inhabited by birds and squirrels. Passing by, people can easily see squirrels climbing and birds perched on the power lines.
Aware that this is the element that creates the “identity” of the neighborhood, the young couple and the architects decided to build a house close to nature on a plot of 4.3 x 15 m.

The house is leaned at 4 meters, leaving a courtyard of more than 17 m2, planted with many species of trees, in particular carambolas. The roof is covered with a vegetable garden, providing daily food for the owner and creating a “breathing space” for the house. Green patches in the front yard and roof garden are also meant to invite birds and squirrels to visit.

The owner and his wife are busy people, living in a minimalist style, so the house is not difficult.
On the ground floor, in addition to the garden, the design team has set up an empty room called a multi-purpose room that the owner can decorate and use according to his needs, such as working in groups or having parties without affecting them. rest. This room is also considered a reserve area in case the family has more members and needs to expand the living area.
The main reception rooms are elevated so that the owner can view the space and the surrounding landscape and trees.
On the second floor, the living room, kitchen and dining room are connected. The kitchen is a place where the owners spend a lot of time after hard working hours, so it is arranged just under the atrium, above it there is a glass roof and a system of movable wooden louvers to obtain light and good ventilation. Standing at the kitchen, the owner can also see the green trees and the sky.
The living room places a small altar to recall the space of the house in the North, the birthplace of the husband.

On the third floor, the bedroom overlooks a layer of green trees hanging from the roof to the front atrium. The layer of rustic brick blocks direct sunlight from entering and along with the trees, cooling the space, providing privacy for the bedroom.
The office on the terrace also faces the green space of a vegetable garden.
Thanks to the double-layered architecture, alternating green trees and glass roofs to let the wind pass behind the house, the building is airy and less hot, the owners hardly need to use the air conditioning. Materials such as rustic brick, bare concrete and wood are environmentally sustainable and add a closeness to nature.
